I also made a small change to the roof that I think looks better. These are required for the lot to look the same. I’ve also used 3 custom wallįrom an old The Sims 2 Exchange lot (more on this to come) for the shingle siding.

I tried to recreate the lot as accurately as possible, but that did mean utilized a few key pieces of 3t2 CC, such as the 1-tile and 3-tile bungalow windows (from Showtime), and the Federal Door (from Ambitions). Of course, the original teenager loner/gamer bedroom was too good to change. I’m imagining this house was built in the 50′s, and has retained some of those original flourishes while modernizing slowly over time, so my furnishing choices reflect a mix of cottage, modern, atomic, and comfy styles. The TS3 version leans heavily into Grandma-core furnishings, which isn’t my style, but I couldn’t abandon it entirely. I knocked down a few walls to keep the layout open (and I didn’t have a 3-tile archway at my disposal), but otherwise the layout is identical. I loved the welcoming porches on the front and side, and the large windows that bring you into the home. But that lot size also meant that the TS3 version could surround a house perched on a small hill with a detached, sloped garage and elaborate landscaping. It is, unrealistically for LA, a decent-sized bungalow on a huge lot (4x5). Quaint Cottage is a lot that shipped with Showtime and is in the hilly area of Starlight Shores. You guys keep me strong and I cannot thank you enough for that.I teased this lot a little while ago, and I crossed 200 followers a little while ago, so it felt right to celebrate that milestone by sharing another 3t2 remake!
I just want to say that I love you all and I will do my very best to at least be on Twitter some if not on here. Unfortunately, this may mean limited access to you guys for a few days or longer –honestly, I’m not sure. I’ve had a very difficult night, but am determined to move forward and do something to make my situation better.
